I am looking to build an application that would aid in analyzing golf swing. along the way, I am trying to build back my programming skill-set.  A little background…  I come from a C, C++ from long time back, went into management (i.e. no programming) for over a decade. I have started using C# recently and want to get callus back on my fingertips    The purpose of this tool is two-fold

1. To provide a tool that fellow golfers could use to understand their golf swing 
2. For me to use it to learn some new technologies and have some fun

I looking for a toolkit that would allow me to build the Golf Swing Analyzer.  I have listed a few Key requirements as well as nice to have Key requirements

1. Ability to overlay Lines, Circle/Ellipse over the swing
   • Ability to draw a line along the shaft line
   • Ability to draw a line along the Spine
   • Ability to draw a circle/Ellipse around the face
2. Ability to play the golf video with overlay applied
   • Ability to play the video with the overlay
   • Ability to play slow motion
   • Ability to play 2 videos simultaneously (face-on and down-the-line)

Nice to Have

1. Ability to detect motion (start of the golf swing)
2. Ability to detect face

Obviously, I am leaning towards C# and .Net… Let us see where this all leads to.

The second annual Chapter Challenge includes chapters from 14 states and five regions.

Teams consist of four juniors compete on Sunday, with winning members participating as team captains and playing with a corporate foursome Monday.

Edwin Watts Skills Challenge: the Naples Edwin Watts Golf Shop is participating in the company’s Skills Challenge through Thursday.

Anyone 18 years of age or older can participate in the free contest, which includes three closest-to-the-pin shots on the store’s golf simulator.

Winners will be invited back to the same Edwin Watts where they originally participated on Saturday to compete in the store championship.

The local Edwin Watts is at 3980 Tamiami Trail North.

Joanne’s House Hope Hospice tournament: Scheduled for Saturday at San Carlos Country Club.

The annual tournament allows local residents to place a name in honor of a loved one at three major sponsors: Moose Lodge 1454, V.F.W. 4254, and F.O.E. 4002. the post-tournament dinner and raffle will be at the Moose Lodge.
